Royal Brackla 12 Oloroso

A fabulous 12 year old single malt from Royal Brackla! Bottled at 46% ABV, this whisky was finished in Oloroso sherry casks imparting a fantastically fruity, spiced depth of flavour. Royal Brackla was the first distillery to be granted the 'royal' warrant by King William IV back in 1833!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Sherried fruit cake, buttered malt loaf, and stone fruits.

Palate Peaches, dried apricots, dark berries, and cherries mingle with caramelised nuts, chocolate raisins, brown sugar, and baking spices.

Finish Wafts of sweet, tangy oak, sugared fruit, and almonds.

shouldnt say all this as it might go up in price
A stunning sherried malt this... fabulous depth of flavours spicy yet smooth. It's sweet, yet i'ts oaky and has those delicious cherries always in background; occasionally up front too. This is not cheap for a 12, but it blows anything I've tasted from Macallan and at higher cost...

Royal Brackla 12 year old oloroso sherry cask absolutely stunning smooth full of flavour this is first time I have tasted this. I was surprised to the depth of colour quite dark but stunning will definitely buy again

Worth the price!
Wait 20mins then drink. Very smooth. Much better than Macallan 12 sherry oak.

I m a big fan of heavily sherried whisky, for example Glendronach, Aberlour, Kavalan's solist and Bunnahabhain. But this one, it is so special! It has so many rich flavors, very fruity and complex,dark chocolate,dry fruits and so on. It is a juice, dangerously delicious! Very balanced. It is a new great stuff! I will definitely buy it again and always for sure. Well done, Royal Brackla!
