The kitchen is located on the ground floor and includes a range of conveniences listed below.

Kitchen appliances: fridge/freezer, grill, kettle, oven, refrigerator, wood stove.

Kitchenware: dishes and cutlery, kitchen utensils, pots, pans.

Cooking basics: oil, salt and pepper, tomato sauce, brown sauce.

Cleaning basics: anti-bacterial spray, bin bags, cloths, paper towels, tea towels, washing up liquid.

Located on the ground floor, the dining room seats up to 16 people. This can be extended with additional tables and chairs if needed.

A highchair is available.

Lounge

The lounge is located on the ground floor and seats up to 12 people. There is a wood burner and central heating to keep you toasty after a day out on the hills.

You can enjoy lovely views out over the valley towards Lingmell Plantation and Pillar.

Hostel need to know

Reception opening hours: From 07:30 - 10:00 and 17:00 - 22:00.

Food and drink: Breakfast is served to guests daily from 07:30 – 09:00. Meals are also available from 17:00 – 20:00.

Licensed bar: This hostel has a licensed bar offering a range of alcohol and soft drinks. It is not possible for guests to bring their own alcohol, except when hiring the whole hostel through YHA Exclusive Hire.

Self-catering: Guests have access to a self-catering kitchen.

Parking: The hostel has a small car park with space for up to 12 cars. Parking is not permitted on the forest road outside the hostel. You will need a gate code to access the track to the hostel - this will be emailed to you before your stay. Please be aware that some luggage transfer services do not deliver to this hostel.

Dogs: Pets are not permitted at YHA Ennerdale, except when hiring the whole hostel or camping barn through YHA Exclusive Hire. Assistance dogs are welcome - please notify us at the time of booking.
