Like the idea of camping but want to shelter under something more substantial than fabric? Try a night in a camping barn. These "stone tents" offer simple accommodation with a communal area to prepare your meals, relax and sleep.
Our camping barns have running water, showers and toilets and cooking facilities. You won't need your sleeping bag, as we provide all bedding and make the beds. You might want to bring warm clothes, a torch and walking boots.

YHA Castleton Losehill Hall
YHA Castleton Losehill Hall offers stunning views across its picturesque surroundings. Castleton itself is one of the Peak District’s most charming villages, with Peveril Castle, plenty of small, independent shops and numerous pubs for guests to explore and enjoy.
The barn has been renovated using recycled materials with timber from our own woodlands (a mix of oak, ash and sycamore). Our cosy interior has antique leather armchairs and what is possibly the world's only ‘rocking stool’. There is a big picnic bench outside for sunny days and peaceful nights.
YHA Ennerdale
Perfect for outdoor activity breaks, the hostel is surrounded by great terrain for walking and cycling holidays, scaling ridges and scrambling. For the eco-conscious, YHA Ennerdale has an off-grid, hydro-electric power supply and even generates its own drinking water!
